National American Miss

My sister-in-law was competing this weekend in the National American Miss pageant. This was her first pageant and she was so excited! We were all so excited for her to! Last night i headed to Salt Lake to watch her during the evening gown part of the pageant and i ended up missing literally by like 2 minutes! But from what i hear she did just amazing! I did however get to see her last night in her beautiful dress and she looked absolutely gorgeous! Then we went and celebrated with a yummy dinner at Olive Garden. This morning we woke up at 6am, got ready and went back up to Salt Lake for the second half of her pageant. Kylie was AWESOME!! She got to stand up on stage and give a little message about the person she is and what she wants to do in life. She did really really good and looked so amazing again! Then she did her personal interview with the judges and i am sure she did amazing. Too bad i wasnt able to sneak in and watch! After that we had some time to kill before the end of the pageant so we went to lunch and then Kylie, Chances mom Nan and me and Blake went to a park in Salt Lake called Liberty park. It was so beautiful! We walked around and then let Blake play in the water. He didnt want to get out of course! Then we headed back to the pageant where kylie went on stage with the whole group and did a dance! Then she got to get back into her beautiful dress for the finale! She looked stunning! All in all it was so much fun and i think it was great experience for her!!

4th of July fun!

We had a really fun holiday! Chance didnt have to work until 2 so he got to spend the whole morning with us. We woke up and went to the Provo parade with Chances family. I am not usually a fan of parades but this year was soooo much fun! Blake had a blast! I loved watching him get so excited and dance when the bands came through. I think his favorite part was when the motorcycle cops came by and did a little show. It was pretty cute. Then we went to lunch with Chances family. Then Chance was off to work and Blake and i went home and took a nap! HAHA Lame i know! But then that night we went over to a friends house and did fireworks! Blake was hilarious! At first he was super scared! He didnt cry he just got a horrible look on his face and hid behind me. But after a while he didnt get scared but still clung to me pretty tight. All in all it was a pretty good day and Blake looked stinkin cute!

Family Fun!

So my sister Lindsay and her husband adn kids came for a visit and stayed a couple days. We went to Seven Peaks, Splash pad, ate some yummy food, played in the blow up pool in the backyard and played games. The kids loved each other! Brooklyn loved playing Blakes mom and Weston loved giving Blake kisses. I am so glad they were able to stop for a visit.

Poor Blake, the morning they left Blake woke up and walked into every room and came out crying. He was so sad they left! I felt so bad for him!! Here are some pics from the visit.

More than life

I have to blog about the fact that Blake loves water more than life! This is no joke! If he could be playing in water all day he would just be in heaven! A couple days ago we went to Seven Peaks (a water park here). I wasnt able to get pictures because i didnt want to ruin my camera but seriously i couldnt get Blake out of the water! He loved the wave pool, lazy river, slides, just everything! He would be sitting in the water and the next thing i know i look over and he is sticking his face under the water and coming up and smiling! It was so funny! He went the whole day without a nap but it didnt matter because he was in the water. He came home and took a bath and cried when i took him out! He just cant get enough!

So yesterday we went to play group at a park here in alpine and it has a splash pad. I was trying to get him to play at the park but he was just freaking out because he wanted to go over to the splash pad. I didnt have a swim suit or anything so i didnt want him to go in but finally i gave in. Every other time we have been there Blake wouldnt even go around it because the water was too cold but this time he crawled right in and played in everything! He was soaking wet and loved it! Other kids were squirting him and he was just laughing and having a ball!! Here are some pics!!

Summer fun in the sun

This summer is going to be soooo much fun. We are jam packed every week with lots of play dates and fun things to do. Blake has been having a lot of fun swimming, playing at the park, going to the splash pad and getting to know other little kids. And its only the beginning of the summer! We have been so blessed do be in a ward that has a lot of young people and lots of cute kids. I have had an opportunity to meet really fun girls to hang out with which is always a plus. I am feeling like i really dont ever want to leave Alpine. When we go for a walk everyone is always outside and there are always people to talk to, lots of parks within walking distance, cute neighborhood and everyone is soooo nice. My ward has been such an amazing blessing. We are so happy!

Blake is at the point now where he always wants to play. He loves the outside more than anything. He always wants to go outside and play or even just sit there and look around. He is definitely walking but only when he wants to. He will walk across the whole room all by himself, but only to walk to the couch to hold on while he walks. He is so funny. I found myself getting really frustrated because i want to be able to just put him down where ever we are and he can just go run and play. But as i think about it and i have been told many many times that i need to enjoy every moment of who he is and what he is doing. So that is my new goal. No more worrying!!!

SheShe came for a visit

My mom (AKA SheShe to Blake) came down for Blakes birthday party and was here for like 5 days! We were so excited for her to come! I love when my mom comes to visit. We always have soooo much fun and Blake gets so attached to her. In fact sometimes he wanted my mom over me! I love that he is so close with my mom. We shopped A LOT, ate some super yummy food, planned Blakes whole birthday party, took Blake to the doctor and just spent lots of quality time. I think it is funny that anytime we go to my parents or they come here there is always a lot of shopping done! Probably my favorite thing ever! We had a really great time we didnt want my mom to leave. She always helps out so much and leaves us wishing we lived closer! Thanks mom for everything!
