Best friends!

So yesterday i got to go up to my best friend Toris new house and hang out with her and her kids! Tori and i have been best friends since before we can even remember! We always dreamed of having families and living really close and our husbands being best friends! Well now we both have families are are working on the living next to each other thing! Its funny because i got to see Tori and Lewis date and and get to know each other before they got married and then i got to experience their awesome wedding and then i got to be there to see both kids after they were born! I was so jealous at the life she got to live. We stayed close for a couple years and i would babysit her kids here and there and Lewis set me up with tons of his friends (HAHAHAHA those were interesting!). Whenever i was getting close with a guy i would call up tori and tell her it was time to put him through the test, 4 WHEELING!!! So we would take them 4 wheeling and Tori and I would talk about the pros and cons of each guy we took. Her opinion always meant so much to me. I even told Chance when we were dating that i cant get serious until i get the opinion of one person.............. TORI! So sure enough i called her up and we went 4 wheeling. I think it was a no brainer for both Tori and I when Chance put Toris son Jaxson on the 4 Wheeler with him and played with him. Tori just kept giving me the look like Winter do not mess this one up!!! HAHAHAHA So as everyone knows we got married and tori was in my wedding! We got to hang out a lot especially during bachelor season! Then i got pregnant and put on bed rest and Tori called me no less than like 3 times a week to check up on me! Then i had my sweet little boy and she came to the hospital that night and saw my little man! She was in Vegas earlier that day and before she even went home she stopped by the hospital to welcome Blake into the world! We both have kids now! We have been through so much together from boy issues in high school all the way up until now starting our families! We have definitely been through our ups and downs but i am so glad we made it through everything! Tori will be my friend for life and i just cant wait to see our families grow up together! Hopefully both our next kids will be born close to each other!

This is the picture we have both been waiting for! our kids together! The boys really loved Blake Jaxson gave him a big hug and said love you brother! It melted my heart! Tori now has a beautiful house and a beautiful family!

2 MONTHS!!

Blake is now 2 months old! I cant believe how fast time has flown by! Here are some of the things he has been up to!

1. Blake is now out of all his cast and is now in braces for 3 months! They are a big pain and he is not a big fan but at least now we can give him a real bath and he can go swimming!
2. Blake can hold his head up without any help! He is such a strong boy!
3. He is awake pretty much all day now minus a few naps.
4. He is eating about 4 oz at every feeding
5. He wakes up 1 time during the night and is getting really close to sleeping through the night! I cant wait for that day!6. Blake is cooing like crazy! He loves to lay on his back and have someone talk to him! He will talk back and it is adorable!
7. Blake loves to smile and let me tell you he has the cutest smile! He smiles at everything! It is so funny! He will smile at any noise you or anyone makes! Sometimes i will just leave him on the couch or in his swing and i go to look at him and he is just smiling away! What a funny boy
8. Blake can yell at me! That is right he yells at me! If he is frustrated or something he will look at me and just make a loud frustrated noise and then he is fine! HAHAHA! It is so funny!
9. Blake saw the doctor today for his 2 month appointment and he weighs 11 pounds 3 ounces! HAHAHA chubby boy! He is 22 inches long and his development is above average! Go Blake! He also got his shots which he was not a fan of! He is in the 50th percentile for weight and 25th percentile for height! So pretty much he is short and fat!
10. Blake likes the lights on the ceiling! He stares and stares at them
11. Blake is such a huge fan of his binky! O my goodness he loves it! A Binky will calm him down no matter what. But he only gets it when nothing else will calm him down or when we are with a lot of people and i dont want everyone else to get frustrated. I dont want him to become completely reliant on it. But i am glad that he takes it!
12. He is getting to the point where he wants to laugh so bad but it just comes out like a very loud grunt! HAHAHA I cant wait to hear it for the first time!
13. Lastly Blake has got some major rolls, legs, arms, bum and even his toes have rolls! This is my favorite thing ever!
This is my little man at 2 months! Isn't he just like seriously cute??!!!Ok seriously maybe this picture is not the best but he really does have rolls on his toes!And the chunky rolly legs are my favorite! once you take his diaper off it gets even better!

Blakes new shoes!

Blake got his cast off today!!! WAHOO!!!! He did really well when they took it off! It was super cute because he wouldnt stop kicking that leg! It was so funny! And he also wouldnt stop smiling! I just loved it! So after they took it off they let me give him a bath which he loved and then i went over to Orthodics and he got his brace for his foot! Yep his new toy! Which by the way he absolutely hates the brace. Since i put him in the car he has not stopped screaming unless i am holding him. his poor little foot and leg are so sore! It is the most painful scream i have ever heard! I am so sad for him today! But i have to hold him at all times or else he screams! This is not like Blake he is such a good baby! Poor little guy is just in so much discomfort. So here are some pictures of today!

Vacation to Reno!!!

We got to go to Reno last week for my baby shower, Macys birthday and off to California for my cousins wedding! My baby shower was awesome!!!! I got a lot of cute things and got to see a lot of people that i adore! Thank you everyone for the gifts! Blake is now going to look so cute! I got to have everyone sign Blakes cast to! It was so fun! Thanks Mom for throwing me an awesome baby shower! I am so glad everyone got to meet my sweet little boy!

Macys 18th Birthday was a lot of fun! We woke up that morning and got ready and went and ran some errands and took Macy to Red Robin for lunch. THEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We headed home to get Macy ready to go on her very first date!!!!!!!!!!!! O my goodness i am so happy i was there to send her off on her first date! I got to give her advice and make sure she looked super cute! She went out with a very nice boy and ended up having a lot of fun so it was an awesome experience for her first date! Then the next day we went up to Lake Tahoe with some of macys cute friends! This was Chances first time at Lake Tahoe in the summer and he was in heaven! He loved jumping off the rocks and playing catch in the water! He now wants to live there! For all of you who know Chance really well it is not a surprise that he fell big time on the rocks and got pretty banged up! It was sad! But all his wounds are looking really good! Blake had a good first time at the Lake as well! He slept most of the time and when he was awake he loved looking out at the water. My mom and Dad have this huge Canope that we took up there so Blake could sit under it! It ended up even getting a little chilly under there so i put a blanket over him! I have not been to Lake Tahoe in the summer for years! I was so excited and had so much fun! Memories just came flooding back when i was there! I really did miss the summers at Lake Tahoe! We will have to make it a point to go there at least twice a summer from now on!

On Saturday we headed off to California for my cousin Roberts wedding! It was a blast! I loved getting to see all my family! I have missed them like crazy! I used to go there at least a couple times a year and since i moved away i have not been back! Robert looked great and looks really happy so i am happy for him! Thank you to my California family for the gifts and for loving my little family! It was so great to see all of them!!!!

Then on the way home we stopped by my cousins first birthday party! She is a beautiful little girl! It was a fun little party! We also stopped by Chances Aunt and Uncles house! They are so fun!

Nanni, Mom, Great grandma Bobbi, Me, Blake and Chance. This was at the church for the wedding ceremony. Grandma Bobbi was so happy to see him! WE have 5 generations with her! Nanni also loved seeing Blake! We loved seeing them it has just been too long!

Macy with Blake at the Lake! I seriously cannot believe she is 18!! When i left home she was 12 or 13 so that is still how i picture her! But seeing her with her friends and going on a date and getting ready for college was crazy!!! She is such a good girl! I feel like she has done everything right in her life and she deserves everything she has! She is a great member of the church, a very loyal friend, and amazing Aunt, A great sister and she is beautiful! Wait i forgot she is also super duper crazy smart! It just comes easy to her! It makes me sick but so proud of her! I cant wait for her to move here! She is going to have such a fun time!

Jaundice/Club Foot/Pneumonia

Man Our little Blake has sure given us a run for our money!!! First Jaundice!!!! Then 7 weeks of a cast for club foot!!!!! Then 2 days in the hospital for Pneumonia!!!!! And he is only 6 weeks old!! My goodness what do we have in store for us???!!!! Early Friday morning Blake woke up super congested and had a slight fever! We started to get a little concerned so we called my mom and dad and asked what we should do! My mom and Dad said to keep checking his temperature and see if you can wait till your doctors office opens and see what he says! So Chance and i pondered that and decided that that was probably a good idea! So That is what we did! We waited 3 hours for the doctors office to open and by that time his temperature was at 101.1 and my doctor said take him straight to the ER because a 6 week old should not have a temperature that high! So off i went to the ER! They did a bunch of tests and Blake did great through all of them! But his chest x-ray came back showing a little bit of Pneumonia in his right lung. So they told me he needs to be admitted for at least 48 hours! I was like WHOA ok!! So they put Blake on antibiotics and fluids! They poked him a million times to try to get an IV in but had no luck because his veins would just collapse. So they gave us the option of having it put in his head. They said that there are pros and cons. They said it is easy to get the IV in and it is not very painful to him. But the cons were that it was easier to pull out, it bleeds a lot more if it does get pulled out and it is jsut scarier because it is in his head. So we were faced with quite a decision! I didnt want him to get poked anymore but at the same time i know my son and i knew he would pull the IV right out because his hands are constantly up by his face and head. So if we did that he would have to be wrapped up in a blanket for the rest of the hospital stay and Blake doesnt like to be like that! So we were kind of going off of what the nurses were telling us because that decision was just too hard to make. So they brought an expert nurse in who rarely ever misses and works in the NICU. She ran lights all through his body to find the veins and found one more good vein she thought would work. So she poked him and sure enough his vein collapsed! So we said ok lets just do the head! So they got it in and got it all secured and sure enough not even 5 minutes later my fears came true.................. Blake reached up and pulled the IV halfway out!!!! MOMMY KNOWS!!!! I just knew that was going to happen! So they just pushed it back in and then like 30 minutes later the IV tube was tripped over and ripped right out of his head! It started bleeding really bad and it was so sad to look at! So really there was no point in doing it in the head! They ended up just not even putting the IV back in and he has been just fine! He doe snot need fluids anymore and they are just going to give him his last 2 doses of the antibiotics through a shot! Which i am really not too thrilled about but i dont want them to try and put the IV in anymore it is just pointless! But right now we are still at the hospital and Blake is doing great! In fact he just spent the last like 30 minutes smiling! So things are looking up! Here are some pictures!!!!

Through all of this Blake still manages to smile!!!! And we finally got it on camera!!! He is just the best little boy!

6 WEEKS!

Blake is 6 weeks old now! I cant believe how fast time has flown by! I swear i just pushed him out!!! But the good news is is i am back to normal plus a few pounds and Blake is doing great!!!! Here are some of the things he is up to right now!
1. Blake is wearing his 4th and final cast! His foot is bothering him pretty bad this time! It is so sad2. Blake smiles like crazy!!! He has been for like 2 weeks! He is so dang cute! He has a really big smile3. He can hold his head up all by himself with no problems! He is so strong!
4. Blake found his thumb but we are making sure his binki is in when i find him sucking on it!
5. Blake had a taste of his first Popsicle! He loved it! (as you can tell from the video i posted yesterday!)
6. He is now only waking up 1 time in the night. (most night)
7. Blake is getting really good at focusing his eyes. He will look straight in your eyes for a long time!8. Blake really loves to sleep with his mommy! He falls right asleep and will sleep for a really long time.
9. Blake weighs 10 pounds!!! What a big boy! Yes he is a very very good eater!10. Finally he still loves loves loves his mommy and daddy! He knows exactly who we are and is totally content with us. Although he really is content with anyone! He is a very calm and sweet boy.
Here he is at 6 weeks! Also we took him to his first baseball game! We went and saw the Salt Lake Bees with Chances family! We also took him to the pool for the first time! We had a ziploc bag over his cast it was pretty funny! Here are some more pictures!

Family!

I just love family!!! I was so excited to have Lindsay and Brooklyn and Weston here for a week! I was sad because when i was talking to Lindsay about her coming here she was having second thoughts because she thought i would be too overwhelmed to have Brooklyn and Weston here! I told her that i didnt care what she thought i wanted my Brooklyn and Weston here!!! It turns out i was right! Yes i was a little overwhelmed but i wouldnt trade it for the world! It was so awesome to see Brooklyn and Weston with their new little cousin! I was so happy all week! Yes i was a little stressed having 2 kids here and a brand new baby but i loved it! I love my Brooklyn and Weston and loved having them here! Lindsay was a big help and we had a lot of fun! We got to go out and do something everyday!!! One day we went on a walk to the candy store and went shopping, another day we went to a big water fountain and let the kids swim, we got to take a trip to Salt Lake and get lost trying to find a Red Robin to eat at, Lindsay got to see what i go through at the hospital with little Blake and his cast, We ate lots of yummy food and made some yummy dinners! We had a blast! I have to say that Lindsay Brooklyn and Weston just loved Blake. They ate him up all week! It was pretty cute and makes me feel so grown up!!! Brooklyn was so dang cute with Blake! She was a total mom to him! She fed him his bottles and even wiped his face off! She was always saying um Winter i like your baby and look at that cute face and i really want to hold him! It was so dang cute! And Weston was so soft and gentle with him. Everytime he woke up from his nap and saw Blake he got really excited! It was adorable!

My Brother and Sister in law got sealed at the Salt Lake temple on Wednesday so we all went up there and Lindsay stayed out in front with the kids till we got out! Then we took some pictures and went on an adventure trying to find a Red Robin. Chance and I are not too familiar with the Whole Salt Lake area and we ended up spending an hour trying to find a Red Robin! We were starving!

After everyone left my house after the BBQ Chance and Jenny ended up getting in a huge water fight! It was funny!

Brooklyn absolutely loves Chance! She is attached to him! Chance is a great uncle! He makes her laugh so hard! I think Brooklyns stomach probably hurts after playing with him!

Blessing

Blake was blessed on June 27, 2010! He was exactly one month old!! It was such an amazing day! My whole family and Chances whole family was there it could not have been more perfect! Except we were really sad that Chances mom couldnt be there! But we knew for sure that she was there in spirit! Chance was so nervous to give his first baby blessing but he did amazing! Of course i was bawling like a baby! Blake did great and slept through the whole thing. Afterward we had a BBQ at my house with all the family and some friends! I loved having my family here for a couple day! The only ones who had met Blake were my mom and Jenny so it was so great to see my Dad connect with him and how much Macy fell in love with him! Lindsay and Brooklyn and Weston stayed for a week after so i will post about that later! That day would have been even better if my brother Reilly could have been there! I actually cried a little later that day thinking of him! I miss him like crazy! Well i have a lot of posting to do but blogger wasnt letting me upload pictures for a while so i am a little behind! But enjoy the few pictures!
