Surgery

This morning Blake had his second surgery in his life! Blake has had sooooo many ear infections (i think 8), that the doctors gave me the option of having them place tubes in his ears to prevent future ear infections. Last week he finished his antibiotic for his double ear infections and when they placed the tubes in his ears this morning he already had another set of ear infections!! My poor little boy.

So what happened was, they had to put him out(so horrible) and then they made a little slit in each ear drum, suctions all the fluid(which was really infected) and then stuck tiny tubes in his ears. The doctor told me that for a child as young as Blake, since he has had so many ear infections, he probably has never really gotten rid of the ear infections. He said the antibiotics would clear up most of it but then leave some behind and sooner or later it progresses to another ear infection. So my poor little boy, more than likely, has been having pretty much a constant ear infection in both ears. That would definitely explain why he goes on spurts of waking up in the middle of the night.

We are so relieved the tubes are now in and my poor little boy can relax! When Blake woke up from the anesthesia he was not a happy boy but by the time we got home and he was super happy and back to normal! Thank goodness!


We had to wake him up at 6am this morning! But look how happy he was! He was giggling in the car and was just all smiles!
Waiting for them to take him from me. By the way that is the worst thing ever! I do not like them taking him from me. Of course i teared up and was a baby but they took him from me and he was crying! Look how tired he was!After about 40 minutes we got him back! He was not a happy baby. He did not like the feeling of the anesthesia waring off. But look how cute they are!

Blake is seriously becoming and looking more like a toddler! He is getting so smart and has pretty much out grown all his clothes! Good thing a new season is approaching! We love watching the BYU games and we always wear our BYU shirts! Blake is borrowing one of Westons BYU shirst so it is so awesome!

Also today we went to a baby blessing and then the lunch after was at a park and of course Blake had so much fun! but i loved his outfit so i had the get a picture!

He absolutely loves stairs right now! It took me a while to be comfortable with leaving him alone but i think i have finally gotten there! You cant see it but this sweater is actually a V-neck! He looked so handsome today!

I also need to make sure i post that Blake has had 8 ear infections in his life, which is a ton, and last week had really bad ones as well as a sinus infection. So tomorrow we have a consultation with an ENT doctor to get tubes placed in Blakes ears. They will prevent him from getting so many ear infections so that will be nice! But i dont like that they are going to need to put him out for it! But i will suck it up!!

Part 2 of our trip to Texas

SERIOUS PICTURE OVERLOAD!!!!

We had so much fun in Texas. I tried a whole new bunch of restaurants, shopped at all new places, swam in the pool, and played at some fun places. Blake had a ton of fun with Weston! In fact him and Weston just love each other. Every morning they would give each other a hug and get super excited to see each other! I think they actually played really well together to. Weston was really good at making Blake laugh. As for Brooklyn....... I am so sad to say that Blake had a really hard time with her. Brooklyn loves Blake so much and just wants to play with him and hold him all day long. Blake does not like to be fussed with. And he was not used to having kids around 24 hours a day. So needless to say Blake learned how to hit and scream and mostly at Brooklyn. It broke my heart and Brooklyns to! But i bet next time they see each other it will be totally different! I had a lot of fun getting to be with Lindsay everyday and watch our kids play. We all wished we lived closer!

Lindsay took me on a tour of Texas Tech and it is a gorgeous campus! Wade is so lucky to be going to law school there!This is the entrance so beautiful!

Part 1 of our trip to Texas

I have sooooo many pictures that i definitely have to do two posts. To start off our trip to Texas we got to see my mom. I booked my plane ticket so that we could see my mom the last two days of her being there. It was so much fun! She got to see the kids play together and we got to spend so fun time with her. We all cried when she left! It is so heartbreaking that my mom doesnt live near any of us. We have such a close family that it just doesnt work for us! So hopefully we will all be together again soon!

We started off my getting our toes done right when i got there. Brooklyn got hers done to it was pretty cute. We ate at some yummy places and just got to spend some really good quality time.

So on 9/11 Lubbock put up almost 3000 flags for everyone who died in the attacks. It was the neatest thing. Such a great experience to walk through all the thousands of flags.
